St Benedict’s Hospice in Sunderland has delivered free palliative care, advice, and support to patients dealing with a life limiting illness and their families for over 35 years. Our specialist care teams, comprised of medical professionals, clinical staff, and volunteers provide patients and their loved ones with the highest standard of care.

St Benedict’s has provided free specialist palliative care to the people of Sunderland and surrounding districts since 1984.

What a difference a few weeks make! The sun has been shining and it feels a little warmer, or might that just be wishful thinking? The first therapeutic horticulture group of the year has been on the go for a couple of weeks now and we have been enjoying bringing spring vibes to the rooftop garden.
Coronation celebrations

Hospice staff, patients and their families joined in the celebrations with decorations, afternoon teas and even a staff crown-making competition.
