To support the development of knowledge and skill when caring for patients with palliative care and end of life care needs.
Objectives
At the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Describe what is palliative care and end of life care.
- Discuss identification of patients with palliative care and end of life care needs; and recognising dying
- Illustrate compassion when describing a holistic assessment and personalised care planning.
- Clarify principles of symptom management and effective communication skills
Intended Audience
Qualified Nursing & AHP Staff within both a Hospital or Community setting.
