BIG Bike Ride for St Benedict’s

Join Team Benedict at The BIG Bike Ride on Sunday the 13th July 2025 and raise money for vital palliative care!

The Active Sunderland BIG Bike Ride, a staple of the city’s cycling calendar, is back for 2025… including the new led family ride.

Join Team Benedict on Sunday 13 July and take the family on a 5 mile led ride, attempt a 12-mile adventure with friends, stretch your legs on the 20-miler or challenge yourself to the 38-mile route (approx route distances).

After setting off from Beacon of Light (next to the Stadium of Light) you will cycle through a mixture of city roads and woodland paths before heading for the euphoria of crossing the finish line having completed one epic ride!

The rides are fully supported with clearly signed routes, marshals, first aid cover, bike mechanics and pick-up vehicles.
