BIG Walk for St Benedict’s

Join Team Benedict at The BIG Walk on Sunday the 28th September 2025 and raise money for vital palliative care!

Whether you’re taking your first steps to moving more, a fun activity with the family or looking to step up to a personal challenge, we have a route that’s right for you.Choose from:

3 mile circular route around Herrington Country Park accompanied by fun activities and Active Sunderland staff – perfect for families and young children.

Those who don’t want to do the activities can follow the signs and complete the route on their own / in their own group:

6 mile route especially for beginners

9 mile route for more experienced walkers

13.5 mile route for experienced walkers to challenge themselves and maybe even set a personal best
