Our Shops

St Benedict’s Hospice has a number of shops that raise money to support patient care and we welcome donations of good quality second-hand items and unused items that we can sell.

Bistro Cafe & Gift Shop.

We have a fabulous Bistro Café in the Hospice where you can enjoy a range of coffees and other refreshments along with a tasty snack. The Bistro Café is open daily to the public so if you are passing please pop in. Also at the hospice we have a lovely little gift shop. So if you are looking for a present for someone special please come and see – you’re sure to find something different at a great price.

We welcome donations of good quality items at all our shops and we can arrange collection if necessary. However there are a number of items we can't accept for legal and health & safety reasons. If you would like to find out more contact us.

Retail Gift Aid

If you pay UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax your donations to our charity shops could be worth even more if you agree to complete a Retail Gift Aid Form when you donate your items.  By completing this you will be agreeing to allow St Benedict's Hospice to act as an agent to sell your goods on your behalf and when the items are sold we will then be able to claim Gift Aid on the net proceeds.  This means that for every £10 we raise from the sale of your items we will actually receive £12.50, all at no cost to yourself.  To find out more contact us or ask in the shops when you donate your goods.
