Caring Canvassers Required for our Weekly Lottery - Sunderland and surrounding areas

We are looking for full and part-time door canvassers to recruit players to our One Wish Lottery.

The lottery is a popular, low cost and fun way to support the charity, so if you are a great communicator, with sound people skills then this could be the change you are looking for.  This is a chance to enjoy your work and know that you are making a difference to a local charity that is close to people's hearts.  In return an excellent package is offered which includes an excellent basic and uncapped commissions.

This is not your average sales job - our people have real career prospects and great job satisfaction every day.  Many have worked with us for years and have become team leaders and managers.  Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to make a difference, earn well and work in an honest and ethical environment.

You must be a great communicator, have sound people skills and importantly you must be hardworking, motivated and dedicated.  The role would suit door to door sales professionals from utilities and other sales backgrounds and experienced fundraisers with face to face people skills.  On-going training, the tools to be the best you can be and continual personal development are at the heart of our culture.  The use of a car is desired due to the nature of the role as you will be required to drive to work within an operating location although those with good public transport links may be considered for some areas.

Make a great decision today and join our lottery team.  Call our recruitment partners at Lottery Fundraising Services on 01425 517030 or email your CV to quoting SLL1.

Volunteer Drivers Needed For Our Patient Transport Service  St Benedict's Hospice, Sunderland has opportunities for Volunteer Drivers within our Transport team.

Our transport service is a key part of the Charity's provision and operates 5 days each week. Each journey is customised to meet the needs of individual patients and provided by our team of volunteer drivers whose schedule is agreed with our Transport Co-ordinator.

Recent purchase of new vehicles has increased our fleet so that we are able to provide transport for more patients to and from their homes and St Benedict's Hospice

If you can offer at least a half day each week, preferably more, and enjoy good health with a reasonable level of fitness, it means we can provide more patients with the services they need and which we know they value.

In order to comply with our vehicle and passenger insurance arrangements, we can only consider people who have a clean driving licence with D or D1 entitlement to drive minibuses and are aged between 25 and 75 years of age. We also need people to undergo a DBS clearance prior to joining the team.

If you think this opportunity will suit you, we'd be interested in hearing from you. An application form and role description may be obtained by contacting Irwin Smart or Matthew Blackman on 0191 512 8299, or by e-mail to
